FOTN: New Year's Eve Look

Hello readers and welcome in the Year of the Dragon ! ^_^ Hope you had a blast with your relatives and loved ones. For sure many of you had put on amazing looks on these special occasions, and I'm no exception to that. Hehe! The title on this entry says it all, and hope you guys would like what I am about to share with you. ;)

I had work on NYE, so instead of boring myself with work, I tried to create a smokey eye look that would go with that night's theme. And here's the look that I donned on that very special day, err, night. :p

Smokey Eye with Black and Forest Green eyeshadows, Nude lips, and False eyelashes.

Close up on the eye make up. This was taken 6 hours from the time I applied my makeup, and it was held pretty well, thanks to a great invention called "eye shadow primer". Haha!

I think this is a better shot (or is it? The flash washed off some of the colors. Bummer.)

Products used:

Face (Canvass):

ELF All over cover stick in Honey (to conceal imperfections)
Ever Bilena Pro flawless finish foundation in Gold (love this, gave me the dewy look)
Maybelline Clear Smooth All in One Powder Foundation in Honey (to set the liquid foundation)

Eyebrows:

ELF Studio Eyebrow Kit in Light

Eyes:

ELF Mineral Eye shadow Primer (to make shadows longer lasting and to prevent creasing)
ELF All Over Cover Stick in Honey (acted as a base for the shimmery and black eye shadows)
Forest Green eye shadow from the L.A. Colors Metallic eye shadow palette in Enchanted (shimmer, primary lid color)
ELF Single $1 eye shadow in Dusk (black, matte, crease color)
ELF Single $1 eye shadow in Pink Ice (frost finish, brow bone highlighter and in the inner corners of the eyes)
ELF studio cream eyeshadow in Coffee, set with Dusk eyeshadow to avoid smudges
Ever Bilena's Evera Eye pencil in Black (used to tightline and to draw on the waterline as well; set with Dusk eyeshadow to prevent smudging as well)
Nichido Girls Night Out eye pencils in Smoke Green and Bronze Glow on the lower lashline, set with the same forest green eyeshadow from L.A. Colors' Enchanted palette
Maybelline Volum' Express One by One waterproof mascara
False lashes applied with eye putti from Aido

Cheeks:

Lumiere Pressed Mineral Blush in Au Naturale

Lips:

NYX Megashine lip gloss in Beige (went for a nude lippie since eye makeup was bold)

Brushes used:

Angled blush brush from Marionnaud (for face powder and blush application)
E55 brush from Sigma (for packing on colors on the lids)
Destiny Blender brush from Coastal Scents (for applying color on the crease area)
Pro Blending fluff brush from Coastal Scents (dupe for MAC 217; used to blend out the harsh edges)
E05 brush from Sigma (used for lining the eyes)
E65 brush from Sigma (for filling in the brows)
E30 brush from Sigma (for eye shadow application on the lower lashline)

It's my second time celebrating NYE in the office, but this is my first attempt with smokey eyes. I think I did a pretty good job. Do you agree? ;)

Sorry, but I was not able to fix my hair to go along with the makeup, because I didn't have my hair tools during that time. :( But I will definitely include that on my future FOTDs and FOTNs.

HAPPY NEW YEAR HUNNIES! ^_^

Lotsa love,
Seppie ^_^
